I took the weekend off for Thanksgiving and am back with some sort of throat cold. I'm going to lay low today and hopefully get a few new posts tomorrow.
Be well!

Rottie Hiking
I took our almost 11 month old Rottie out for his second 2 mile this morning/afternoon. It's really effective in spending his bottled up energy. It worked really well since he didn't get any exercise yesterday while we were out.

Cabela's
I received a $10 off coupon in the mail from Cabela's yesterday. For the first time it doesn't have a minimum spend requirement to use it. Too cool. My gaming buddy is coming over this Saturday and I'm going to see if I can drag him over there early to spend my card.

Walking stick
Does anyone hike with a walking stick? I've seen them in stores and some of them are upwards of $100! I'm thinking if you're a avid enough hiker you can find a suitable one in the woods for free.

Hiking Caravan Style
If you're hiking with a group of people, it's always best to let the slowest person lead. Otherwise if a faster hiker is in the lead spot you'll end up losing them far ahead of the pack.

The Treasure Hunt
It's been out for quite some time but has anyone tried Geocaching? It's free and it can be found just about anywhere in the country (USA, that is).
Just pick up a GPS
, log on to the website and get some coordinates from your local area. People hide treasure boxes full of cool little stuff and you're supposed to take something to replace the treasure you take once you find it.

Testing some hiking links out
Here's some cool Hiking Books out at Amazon.com. This tool is neat to integrate into my posts here at OB-Hiking as well as my other blogs.
